Get ready to nourish your cells!
Mats are provided, but you are most welcome to bring your own to add another layer of cushion.
Wear anything you will feel comfortable in, we will be stretching and draping ourselves into various shapes. Bring a jumper or something snuggly to throw on for savasana (corpse pose!), also an eye pillow if you have one.
Doors open 15 mins before Class begins so come in early if you have any questions, would like to chat with me privately or settle in with a cup of tea and quiet time.
For morning sessions, it is completely fine to come with a belly full of breakfast or an empty stomach. Unless your digestion type is indirect light in Human Design – it which case you will do better going light for breakfast or empty tummy!
I recommend for all late evening Yin Yoga – to have dinner, or any last snacks before class. For maximum cellular rejuvenation and healing, it is best to allow plenty of quiet time after class to minimise any loading on organs and systems.
Activities after class that will support and enhance your evening practice:
– fasting
– practicing silence
– minimising all screen time and other stimulation
– a warm hydrating drink/tea/broth/miso to nourish and hydrate your cells. Hot water, lemon & celtic sea salt is yum!
– taking a salt/herbal bath
– journaling before getting into bed
– consistency. Aim to do 60 mins of Yin every week (can be broken up over days) for maintenance and improvements. Or challenge yourself with 3-4 sessions a week to REALLY MOVE THE NEEDLE! Your mind, body and spirit is guaranteed to shimmer and glow a anew.
